SA Mental Health Services Plan

The new Mental Health Services Plan for South Australia has been released. This Plan is a five-year vision for the delivery of Department for Health and Wellbeing operated and commissioned mental health services in the State.

As per its introduction: “The Plan seeks to ensure that human rights are honoured and protected. It sets an enduring expectation that those receiving care are engaged as active and valued participants in every interaction. The Plan also seeks to enable staff to deliver best practice in an effective, efficient and rewarding way, and provides for an expanded role for peer workers.”
