Poetry can be a powerful form of self-expression and is a great way to support wellbeing—improving mood, strengthening cognitive health and fostering positive self-reflection.
This Mental Health Week, mindshare is hosting an online poetry workshop led by spoken word legends Alison Paradoxx and Wallis Prophet from Draw Your (S)words.
Participants will be guided through a series of short exercises to build writing and poetic performance skills.
Please note: It is important that this workshop be experienced as a safe space. While it will explore mental health themes, attendees won’t be pressured to draw from lived experience or share their work without consent. All poems will include content warnings where relevant, and participants may leave the workshop at any time.
