“Everything I embody comes through my creative practice. Everything I am is a complex mix of mental illness, trauma and shifting identity. Creativity to me is like breathing and if I’m not doing it in some form I feel stagnant. It helps me unpack my mind and calm it.” – Daria Healy-Koljanin
Daria is one of three feature artists leading this year’s group exhibition from mindshare—an annual, collaborative event showcasing South Australian artists living with mental health challenges.
By exhibiting extensively across Adelaide City this October, we at mindshare hope to create space for conversations around mental health and wellbeing. We believe that sharing and listening to each other’s stories—in whatever unique form they take—is key to building empathy and understanding.
This year’s mindshare Group Exhibition includes works from Life Without Barriers’ Living Arts program, Neami National’s Neami Arts, and practising artists connected to mindshare.
Join us to celebrate this year’s Exhibition at North Adelaide Community Centre on World Mental Health Day, with feature artists Daria Healy-Koljanin, Tony Wilson and Bel Short on site.
