Congratulations Tom Lobbe

Our 2017 Mental Health Week Ambassador Tom Lobbe was recently awarded the Kangan Institute Inspirational TAFE Student Award as part of the Victorian Young Achiever Awards.

Tom won this award for his advocating for increased awareness and elimination of stigma around mental health issues. Tom lives with schizophrenia and has achieved an overall grade of high distinction in his Diploma of Horticulture.

He also runs his own gardening business and volunteers as a mental health ambassador openly sharing his mental health story with others. While we weren’t there to hear his acceptance speech, rumour has it he thanked us for inviting him to be our Mental Health Week Ambassador with his brother Matt.

Congratulations Tom!
