Schizophrenia Awareness Week (SAW) kicks off this Sunday 20th May.
This year, SAW will be held from the 20th to 27th May. This coincides with the week of World Schizophrenia Awareness Day (24 May).
The national theme for SAW 2018 is “Do What You Can Do”.
People with schizophrenia are among the most highly stigmatised and socially marginalised people in our community. Through this week, the Mental Illness Fellowship of Australia aim to reduce stigma towards people affected by schizophrenia, bust myths about schizophrenia, and promote help-seeking by people affected by schizophrenia and their carers.
Head to minetworks.org.au for more information on how to get involved.
