In 2017 MHCSA partnered with the Adelaide Primary Health Network (APHN) to lead a co-design process to develop a new service called Lived Experience Telephone Support Service. This is an innovative service that, as the name suggests, would be a telephone support service delivered by people with lived experience.
Adelaide PHN will shortly issue an Expression of Interest (EOI) for organisations to deliver the Lived Experience Telephone Support Service (LETSS).
This will be a peer led telephone service providing information, navigation and support services in an after-hours time period to provide a proactive de-escalation of mental health distress, as well as assist with access to mainstream mental health services.
The EOI will include initial program guidelines and an opportunity for organisations to ask questions.
