Free Forum – NDIS, Mental Health & the Federal Election
April 30 @ 10:30 am - 12:30 pmFree
The 2019 Federal Budget showed a $1.6bn underspend on the NDIS with the rollout slower than expected, especially in South Australia for people with primary psychosocial disability.
Temporary funding to June 2020 was announced with $122m allocated for three key Commonwealth mental health programs but their future remains uncertain.
Access to housing remains problematic and is a key building block for good mental health.
In the lead up to the Federal Election, we want to know who has the best policy for supporting people living with mental illness both within the NDIS and outside of it.
Our Federal Election Forum will be moderated by The Advertiser’s Social Affairs Reporter Lauren Novak, and you the voter will be setting the questions.
The MPs who will be taking your questions are;
Mr Tony Zappia, Australian Labor Party
Senator The Hon David Fawcett, the Liberal Party of Australia
Senator Sarah Hanson-Young, The Green
Centre Alliance, to be confirmed
