LETSS: 1800 013 755LETSS is the Lived Experience Telephone Support Service that was launched in October this year.
This telephone service runs from 5pm-11:30pm every night of the week which includes public holidays and weekends.
This evening service is open at night when people find it difficult to find support.
This is not a clinical or counselling support service but driven by the peer support model where those on the other end of the phone use their lived experience to assist you in making your own decisions about what is best for you. LETSS can help you with;
• information on mental health topics and conditions and where you can go for certain services or support
• support navigating the mental health system including how to get referrals
• real time support for when you may feel you are becoming unwell however it is important to note this is not crisis support (if you require that then please call Mental Health Triage on 13 14 65)
• provide follow-up and wellbeing checks if you need them or have recently been discharged from hospital You can access LETSS by calling 1800 013 755.
Calls to the LETSS will be free of charge (though mobile charges may apply) and callers can remain anonymous if they wish.
